3 Best Brands for Custom Printing

by Apr 3, 2019

In a previous blog post, my colleague Alex discussed the challenges of choosing the right type of fabric and tee shirt for printing. But what about the motives behind the brands? I know that when I am choosing where to shop, I want to know about a brand’s morals and missions. So, let’s delve deeper into YouInkIt’s most highly-used brands.

1. Bella + Canvas

Bella + Canvas tees claim to have the best fit and feel without sacrificing softness. Their signature Airlume Combed and Ring-Spun Cotton are engineered to create the softest, smoothest tee you’ve ever felt. The brand combs out 2.5x more impurities from their cotton than standard spun cotton, while their long-staple cotton makes for less stray fibers and a tight-knit print surface.

Bella + Canvas tees are not manufactured in a tubular shape, but instead are side-seamed, making for a more flattering fit. Each shirt is also dyed using 7x less water and eco-friendly dyes.

+1 point for saving the Earth!

2. Gildan

Gildan is a widely-known bulk clothing company. The brand owns many other large clothing brands such as Peds, American Apparel and Goldtoe.

Gildan both produces their own textiles and owns their own manufacturing facilities, allowing them to meet their own high standards of quality and innovation. Gildan, as a brand, prides itself in its commitment to social, environmental and community-based responsibility.

In the screen printing business, Gildan has become the staple for comfort and long-lasting value. I guarantee that you probably have a Gildan tee somewhere in your wardrobe!

About 35% of all YouInkIt.com orders are printed on Gildan brand shirts at the request of our clients—that definitely speaks to the brand’s reliability!

3. Next Level

Next Level’s tee shirts are ring-spun and super soft. This brand has developed fourteen custom fabrics to fit your blank apparel needs. Some of these fabrics include:

Lightweight Jersey– 100% Combed Ring-Spun Cotton. This lightweight fabric is washed to provide extraordinary softness, stretch, recovery, and reduced shrinkage and torque.

Spandex Jersey- 57% Combed Ring-Spun Cotton 38% Polyester 5% Spandex. A soft, comfortable fabric with great stretch and memory.

Burnout Jersey– 65% Polyester 35% Combed Ring-Spun Cotton. This fashionable burnout fabric provides a unique look and feel with great stretch, comfort, and softness.

Waffle Thermal– 60% Combed Ring-Spun Cotton 40% Polyester. This lightweight waffle thermal has a low profile, creating a soft and supple hand.

This brand is committed to a high standard of ethical and responsible conduct in all of its operations. They make it a point to act ethically in terms of the rights of individuals and the health of the environment, and they expect these same commitments to be shared by all manufacturers of Next Level Apparel.

Not only is this company extremely ethically-conscious, but Next Level Apparel also supplies fashion-forward garments much different from just standard tee shirts, such as bomber jackets and long-sleeved Henley shirts. If you’re looking for the most up-to-date apparel for printing, the Next Level is definitely the best choice.
